Getting to the Venue from the Airport
By Taxi from the Airport
This is the fastest and most direct way to reach the venue. Taxis are available at the official taxi ranks outside each airport terminal.
Taxi service in Spain is a regulated public service, with fares set by the authorities, mandatory insurance coverage, and strict safety requirements. Taking a taxi after your flight offers comfort, security, and protection from unexpected charges.

- Taxis operating in the city of Madrid have a red diagonal stripe on the front doors.
- Taxis operating in Alcalá de Henares have a purple diagonal stripe on the front doors.
Each airport terminal has a clearly marked official taxi rank served exclusively by licensed taxis. If you have any doubts, you may ask the driver to show their official taxi credentials.
By bus from the Airport
Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport has four terminals. From the airport, you can reach Alcalá de Henares by public transportation.
Bus line 824 provides a direct connection from Terminals 1, 2, and 3 of Barajas Airport to Alcalá de Henares. If your flight arrives at Terminal 4 (T4), you can use the airport’s free shuttle bus service to transfer to Terminals 1, 2 or 3. The shuttle operates 24 hours a day and connects all airport terminals. During the day, buses run approximately every 5 minutes. Follow the signs for “Shuttle Bus” after leaving the arrivals area. The journey from T4 to T1–T3 usually takes around 15–20 minutes.
The final stop of this route is the External Campus of the University of Alcalá (Polytechnic School – Escuela Politécnica). Please note that not all Line 824 services stop at “Escuela Politécnica”. Only services that display a scheduled time in the “Escuela Politécnica” column of the timetable will stop there:

By Local Bus
The easiest way to reach the Polytechnic School from the city centre is by bus line 2.
The line connects the city centre and the railway station with the External Campus of the University of Alcalá, where the Polytechnic School is located.
